The Miner’s Revenge is an annual mountain biking event held at the historic Adventure Mine in Greenland, Michigan, located within Ontonagon County. This unique race offers participants the rare opportunity to navigate courses that traverse both the rugged surface terrain and the underground passages of a former copper mine.

Event Highlights:

  • Cross-Country (XC) Race: Riders tackle a challenging 6-mile loop featuring steep climbs, rocky sections, and flowing singletrack. A distinctive aspect of this race is the segment that leads cyclists through the mine’s underground tunnels, necessitating the use of reliable lighting equipment. Depending on their chosen category, participants complete multiple laps of this circuit.

  • Downhill (DH) Race: This event consists of two timed runs down a descent that tests riders’ technical skills and speed. The best time out of the two runs determines the rider’s final standing.

  • Enduro Race: Comprising multiple timed stages interspersed with untimed transfer segments, the enduro challenges participants across various terrains, both above and below ground.

  • Youth Events: Tailored for younger riders, these races provide age-appropriate challenges to encourage and develop emerging talent in mountain biking.

The 2025 Miner’s Revenge is scheduled for July 11th to 13th at the Adventure Mine. Participants and spectators can anticipate a weekend filled with exhilarating races, camaraderie, and the unique experience of exploring historic mining tunnels by bike.
